B&B Can Jan: A cyclist's paradise
Trusted by professional cyclists like Giro dâItalia victor Tao Geoghegan-Hart and Ronda van Vlaanderen winner Kasper Asgreen, as well as multiple triathletes, B&B Can Jan makes visitors feel like professional cyclists. In the idyllic surroundings of OssinyĂ , the four Belgians running the B&B are clearly doing something right.
Located near BesalĂș, the Belgian owners have extensive experience in hospitality and cycling. Jan, a former semi-professional cyclist and team mechanic, has worked with Rabobank and the Belgian national team and now maintains bikes like Remco Evenepoelâs at Soudal-Quickstep. The team also includes Kevin, in charge of reservations, Karolien, the chef, and Sofie, a specialist in nutritional plans for athletes.

âHigh-level cyclists receive a nutrition plan adapted to their training schedule,â says Sofie. âWe create healthy meals based on this plan, considering dietary preferences and allergies.â This attention to detail makes the B&B a favorite among professional cyclists and triathletes. Jan also offers bike maintenance, riding advice, and guided tours.
Jan and Sofie have incorporated cyclist-friendly features, including a secure bike shed, sports nutrition, post-ride drinks, washing machines, cycling literature, route suggestions, a bike cleaning area, massage services, and an indoor trainer. Since opening in late 2022, they have been so busy that Jan has only worked at the Tour de France this season, focusing instead on guiding visitors and maintaining the B&B.

Jan and Sofie discovered the region through bike touring in 2016. âThis part of Catalonia is simply fantastic,â they say. âWe have the most beautiful roads leading to the best climbs just around the corner.â
