Wineland cycling experience: cycling, wine and nature in Utiel-Requena
The Wineland Cycling Experience is more than just a sporting event, it brings together cycling, nature, wine culture, and family-friendly experiences in the stunning region of Utiel-Requena (Valencia). For the 2025 edition, the event will take place on October 25 and 26, offering a full weekend of off-road cycling and local flavour.
Two days of authentic cycling
Saturday, October 25: The weekend kicks off with the first MTB stage and the highly anticipated Gravel Experience; a non-competitive ride through the so-called ‘Valencian Tuscany’. Riders can choose from three distances (50, 75, or 120 km), all winding through vineyards, countryside, and even local wineries, while the event grounds come alive with a festive atmosphere and family-friendly activities.
Sunday, October 26: Sunday brings the event to a close with the second stage of the MTB race. Wineland is designed with inclusion and community in mind. The youngest riders have their own space at Wineland Kids, while families and spectators can enjoy the lively event village in Requena, where the start, finish, and expo area are all located.
One of Wineland’s standout features is its post-ride social event on Saturday, known as the ‘tardeo’, which brings together local wine, regional cuisine, live music, and cycling brands in a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. It’s a meeting point for riders, exhibitors, and visitors to unwind and connect.
With over 600 participants in 2024 and riders coming from 27 provinces, Wineland has quickly become one of Spain’s most exciting gravel and MTB events. The gravel route in particular has earned a loyal following, with many cyclists returning to ride it throughout the year – well beyond the official event dates.
Wineland also carries a strong social commitment. A portion of the registration fee is donated to local causes such as AMACMA (a breast cancer support association) and other community initiatives, making each pedal stroke part of something bigger. In addition, with the Gravel registration you can get a ticket for a guided tour of one of the wineries featured along Sunday’s route.
The Wineland Cycling Experience is the perfect excuse to discover the Utiel-Requena region, ride among vineyards, and enjoy a weekend where cycling meets the very best of the land.
