Meet BCG Minardis, Girona’s 'everyday' cycling club
There are few groups in Girona that embrace the cycling lifestyle more than BCG Minardis, a local cycling club with a strong social spirit and passion for riding bikes. Whether it’s road, gravel, or MTB; this group of more than forty passionate cyclists gets together on nearly a daily basis to enjoy, train, and share the road (and beers) with friends.
The club’s homebase is Tàndem Cafe, a cycling-themed cafeteria located close to Parc Migdia. From here the club operates a flexible schedule of rides to accommodate different routines and rhythms – with some members rolling out early in the morning, while others prefer the afternoon light.

In May, the club organised a special event hosted at the Castelli Girona store, where the new team jersey was officially unveiled. Designed by Néstor, the group’s resident artist, the kit is a clean, bold look that reflects the club’s energy. Produced in collaboration with Castelli, the design even features the Nafent logo proudly on the right sleeve—something we’re thrilled to see out on the roads.
While the vibe is friendly and inclusive, welcoming riders of every nationality, the pace is no joke. These riders love to push themselves, and the level can be quite demanding. “We ride to enjoy”, says Ferran Ribas, the club’s unofficial president, “but we ride to train, too.”
Ferran, chosen for his seniority and calm leadership, also gave us a bit of insider insight into the club’s social riding etiquette: “Everyone is free to suggest routes, and I just try to keep up with the group—but if they have to wait for me, they don’t complain. I just hope I can keep riding with them for many more years”, he says with a laugh.
Though most rides begin in Girona, BCG Minardis occasionally plans weekend routes in other locations. It’s a chance to explore new terrain, deepen the group bond, and—of course—suffer up new climbs together.
The group is open to everyone—men and women, locals and visitors. Joining is as simple as sending them a DM on Instagram. Pedro will take it from there and add you to the group. “It’s about sharing the joy of riding, growing stronger together, and keeping things fun—always.”
