Matheo Coquin:

A conversation with Arkéa B&B Hotels’ Business Development Manager

From 2025, CyclingCeramic will be an official partner of World Tour team Arkéa B&B Hotels. As a leading designer of ceramic components, CyclingCeramic speaks with the team’s Business Development Manager, Matheo Coquin.

Carolina Olier: Matheo, why did you choose CyclingCeramic as a technical partner?

Matheo Coquin: “We mainly use Shimano components but wanted to enhance performance. After testing CyclingCeramic products last season, the riders were satisfied. The results confirmed these components optimize our bikes’ performance. Additionally, CyclingCeramic is a French company near our service course in Brittany, making this collaboration an obvious choice.”

CO: What are the main strengths of CyclingCeramic products in terms of performance and durability?

MC: “Their lightness and high performance. The bottom brackets offer exceptional fluidity and durability, meeting World Tour demands. The derailleur pulleys and cages also impressed us, proving highly efficient, even compared to Shimano.”

CO: Beyond performance, does design play a role?

MC: “Yes, the products are well-designed. While performance is key, using high-end ceramic equipment boosts riders’ confidence.”

CO: How does this partnership help Arkéa stand out in the World Tour?

MC: “Few teams use a full ceramic setup. With these high-performance components and our Bianchi bikes, we can push the limits further.”

CO: What role will CyclingCeramic products play in your Vuelta goals?

MC: “The Vuelta is tough, and every detail matters. Our goal is to win stages and perform well in the GC. CyclingCeramic components will be a key asset in maximizing performance.”

CO: What do you think of our new red road cage?

MC: “It’s a great evolution. More rigid, fully compatible with Shimano 12-speed derailleurs, and aesthetically aligned with our team. We already used your aero cage in the Tour de France, where Kevin Vauquelin finished sixth in the time trial. These products truly make a difference.”

CO: Thank you, Matheo. We look forward to seeing this partnership thrive.

MC: “Thank you, Carolina. I’m confident this collaboration will take us far!”
