La Maglia extends: La Maglia Roastery
With the goal of offering even better coffee to visiting cyclists, La Maglia in Platja d’Aro has opened the doors of La Maglia Roastery – a long-held dream of owner Marc Guinó.
Guinó has always been obsessed with serving the best coffee, he says. “With La Maglia Roastery, I can offer everyone even better quality coffee than I did before. I only choose specialty coffee that is unique to its origin, fresh, highly rated, and freshly roasted. I am proud to say that La Maglia now has its own coffee brand.”
Visitors can expect a guided tour as part of the customer service. “I hope that cyclists want to get involved in this project. I love the idea that people come to visit the new location, see our roasting machine, and watch how we roast their coffee. If I can explain to cyclists how the whole process works, I am a happy man”, Guinó says.
La Maglia, which has a monitored bike parking service, has straightaway become an even more interesting destination for a bike ride. Cyclists will find excellent coffee at the new location and will also be able to bring beans home. The fresh fruit bowls and açai bowls are still part of the menu as well.
Last but not least, La Maglia Roastery will serve cakes from top-end bakeries La Puntual and Can Pericus (from Banyoles). “The suppliers stand for the same values as La Maglia: product quality and good service.”
