How the magazine was born
Nafent Magazine was born on the roads around Girona, the road cycling capital of Europe. In the mountain massif ‘Les Gavarres’, east from the Catalan city, the roads are full of motivating shouts of support: Nafent.
It is difficult to translate this typical Catalan word into English. Most appropriate is ‘keep going’.
One can translate Nafent as well in ‘Go and enjoy’, or ‘come on’. However, these translations are not as correct as ‘keep going’.
Keep going: just what you need when you’re climbing to the top of Els Angels, trying to break the KOM on Santa Pellaia or wiping away the sweat from your forehead on La Ganga.
Reading Nafent on the road inspires, gives new energy and creates a sense of bonding with fellow cyclists and your environment. These are the goals of Nafent Magazine as well. We want to motivate, encourage, and bring cyclists from around the world together to enjoy what we all love most: riding our bikes in Catalonia.
