Hotel Palau Fugit

Connecting locals with visitors in the most serene way

It is hard to find quiet places in the old town of Girona. The city’s old center is vibrant, dynamic, full of life and there are many weekends with a large number of people navigating themselves through town. Entering Hotel Palau Fugit is really a surprising oasis in all senses. The hotel turns out to be a tranquil getaway for cyclists and recently celebrated its one-year anniversary.

Palau Fugit is a private project carried out in collaboration with the architecture studio Isern Associats, the designers El Equipo Creativo and renowned artists to turn it into much more than a hotel, into a way of living, ‘La Vida Plena’. It is a hotel that opens its doors to everyone: people from abroad and people from here.

Next to being an exceptional hotel that lives up to the expectations its name suggests: a tranquil palace – a place one can escape from the rush of daily life, break the routine and embrace serenity, the hotel organizes events, such as concerts, art exhibitions, book presentations, cookery workshops, food and wine tasting and more.

For Patrizia Glaser, the director of the hotel and a passionate cyclist, it is important since the inception of the hotel that cyclists feel more than at home living the unique experience at Hotel Palau Fugit. “I want to create the ideal environment to awaken your adventurous side and discover the secret paths of Girona with personalized cycling routes.”

Equipped with a water and wellness zone called La Cova d’Aigua, built inside the limestone rocks of the Roman wall of Girona, and also offering recovery boots, physiotherapy and a cool outdoor pool that is also available during the hot summer months, this hotel is celebrating its one year anniversary and has everything you need as a cyclist. There is also a safe bike parking. Lastly, Hotel Palau Fugit offers its own beer called Rispa and excellent vermouths.

Aimed at bike enthusiasts, the hotel offers an all-round carefree cycling package all year round with an excellent breakfast of porridge, avocado toast, salmon, pancakes etc. – everything a sport lover, professional or amateur’s heart desires.
